Evolves into: Azumarill (Level 18)
Evolves from: Azurill (Happiness)
Pokedex Entry (SS): The end of its tail serves as a buoy that keeps it from drowning, even in a vicious current.
Marill Trivia
- Marill's early design had a pink body instead of blue, noticebly smaller ears, and lacked the erractic tail pattern.
- For months prior to the release of Pokemon Gold and Silver, Marill was often incorrectly referred to as "Pikablu", likely because of its slight resemblance to Pikachu
- Marill's name was originally spelled Marril, as shown in some merchandise for the first movie.
- Marill was the fourth Generation II Pokemon to appear before the Johto series (Ho-Oh, Donphan and Togepi were the others).
- Marill is similar to Pikachu in several ways, such as both having an evolution introduced in the same generation as themselves and a pre-evolution in the next generation.
- Since its introduction, Marill has been available in every regional browser and possible to catch in every generation.
