Pokedex Entry (SS): It usually stays hunched over. If it is angry or suprised, it shoots flames out of its back.
Cyndaquil Trivia
- Cyndaquil and its evolutions are the only non-Kanto introduced Pokemon that can legally have Submission. Despite this, it can only learn it by breeding, and even then only in Crystal.
- Cyndaquil and its evolutions are the only Fire-type starters whose colour not primarily red or orange. This is not true for its shiny form.
- Cyndaquil is the only Fire-type starter that does not gain a second type during evolution.
- The Cyndaquil and Magby evolution families are the only three-stage Fire-type evolutionary familes that do not gain a second type.
- Cyndaquil is the second Starter Pokemon seen hatching from an egg in the anime. The first was Mudkip.
- Despite being able to learn Swift by level-up, it can't be learned by Move Tutor.
